Visiting Author

Lower School had a very important visitor this week.  The well-known children’s author, Lottie Prentice, travelled over 100 miles just to visit our children!

The children enjoyed hearing Lottie read from her latest books and hearing how Lottie became a published author.  She shared her first story, ‘Night, Night My Little Tiger’ with the children.  In the story, the little boy dreams he is a tiger but when he wakes up, he is not sure if it really happened or not!  Ameliya in Reception said she would like to be a unicorn; Marina wanted to be a snow leopard and Gowshanth wanted to be a cheetah!

There were also some top tips on making your books feel real from Lottie, who said she liked to write out her story and then make it up into a real book; imagining where the illustrations would be and what it would look like!
