World Book Day
On Thursday, the children and staff at Crown House enjoyed a day of activities marking World Book Day.
Classes D & P visited High Wycombe Library and were challenged with quizzes, searches and facts all about the library and its books. Rumour has it that some biscuits were involved too.
The whole Lower School arrived in Fairytale fancy dress and looked superb, portraying a variety of characters from their favourite books. Pre-School, Reception and Class L were all visited in the morning by their Book Buddies from Classes K and E who shared some carefully chosen books from our library with them and encouraged the younger children to enjoy their reading. It was a great sight to see!
Later in the day, all the children had the opportunity to take part in Mrs Pestana’s Book Swap. Children were encouraged to donate a book or two from home that they had enjoyed for their peers to experience and, in turn, pick some recommended reads for themselves.
