Extra Curricular

Two choices from a broad range of after-school activities are available every afternoon until 5.00 pm, each designed to further develop and deepen children’s interests and skills.

The activity-based clubs, which are pupil-driven and vary from term to term, offer a wide choice – from Judo, Rugby, Football, Badminton and Rounders to Ballet, Art, Sewing, Pottery, Cookery, Creative Writing, Science and Street Jazz. Where appropriate they are supervised by school staff with the help of specialist providers and are open to all pupils.

The school also operates a separate holding class for lower school children from 3.15 pm to 3.45 pm - this is supervised by a lower school teacher. From 3.45 pm until 5.30 pm, there is a supervised Late Club where children are given refreshments and can either play board games, play outside or even begin their homework! The Late Club is supervised by members of the lower school teaching staff.

The school has an active Parent Teacher Association (The Friends) which helps organise a number of parent and children events throughout the year such as Quiz Nights, Pancakes (on Pancake Day), a 12Km walk, the Summer Fete and the Christmas bazaar; as well as the daily walking bus which runs from 8:00 am each morning across the Rye opposite the school.
