The school was established in High Wycombe in the nineteen twenties, and has occupied its present site for the major part of its life. It has enjoyed a high reputation with local people throughout its history, and is now the only surviving independent day school in the town for both boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11+.

The combination of high standards of education and moderate fees has attracted children from across the social spectrum.
